Aplication

You can simply switch between modes with the master card or master code.

Access controller

To use the Rex as an access controller, you have to change its address with the software. The Rex can control one electric strike.

Standalone access controller

The Rex standalone access controller needs an external power supply to operate normally. Use one of power supplies from the Spider family. The Rex can control one electric strike. In this event you will use the master card and master code for programming the Rex.

Time and attenance controller

The Rex as a time and attendance controller is intended to register the employees' time of arrival or exit from work, the duration of their lunch break, the duration of any absence due to work or private matters, early departures from work, the use of excess hours or leaves of absence, sick leave, etc. In this event keys are used as function keys to register employees.

Wiegand reader

You can easily change the Rex into wiegand reader mode. In this event the Rex is used as a reader that is connected to the Trigger or Populus contoller or any controller that supports 26-bit wiegand protocol.

Table reader

The Rex can also be used as a table reader. In this event you need one of the converters from the Spider family to convert the data from the Rex to the computer. As a table reader the Rex is intended for the simplification of insertions of contactless cards into the application. The advantage of this cooperation between the Rex and the Spider USB/NET is the longer distance between the reader and the converter.
